DC Voltage Multiplier
Are you in need of an industrial voltage multiplier for your plant or facility? A DC voltage multiplier can be used in applications that require the multiplication of DC signals. For example, Carotron now manufactures a din-rail mountable module that features two inputs, called X and Y. Each of these inputs can be calibrated for the minimum/maximum input levels using the “Teach” terminal. The basic function of this DC voltage multiplier is to multiple Input X by Input Y to find the “output.” There are also special features for dancer trim as well as applications for torque takeup and letoff. Voltage multipliers are typically used to convert electrical power (AC voltage) from a low voltage to higher voltage (DC power). The model MUL270-000 (Carotron’s mentioned above) can work in applications for Generic Trim Potentiometer, Dancer Trim and Torque Takeup/Letoff. Diagrams and drawings, descriptions, connections, dimensions, specs, ect. are available at the manufacturers website for more details.
